Cygnets are a small nursery group that was established about 7 years ago and take children from the age of 2 until the age of 4. Although the cygnets are situated on the school site, cygnets are a seperate establishment but have a very close partnership with the school. The group that they have is a very small group with about 16 children. Two qualified adults Sonia Cavner and Lisa Jackman, run the nusery from 8:45 - 11:45 5 days a week. They use the early years ciriculam and this involves everything from cutting and glueing to running around outside.

Some of the children said:

"I like playing on the computer and with the cars" (Lucy)

"I like playing with the sand" (Harry)

Also many children said that they enjoyed playing with the farm, singing nursery rhymes, meeting lots of friends, playing outside, arts and crafts.

They also go on trips to the beach and to Howick Forest.

And they go on the LifeCentre mobile unit.
